Our Story

Brighter Business Coaching is unique because of our team approach to small business!

There are few people in this world who can create, run, and grow a business all on their own. Between administration, marketing, and business development – it’s pretty hard to imagine one person being an expert or possessing serious talent in ALL these areas! And yet, many business coaching programs seem to operate this way – with one primary person providing the guidance and training in every area of business OR offering programs that only provide coaching in a specific business component.

Which is why we decided to do it differently… or in our opinion – Brighter!

Here is our story:

Claire, Elana, and Jigisha met through Bright Futures Consulting, LLC, a boutique college admissions and career consulting firm. Over the course of several years, they became each other’s supporters and accountability partners as they worked together to enhance and grow the Bright Futures team and clientele.

During this time, it became very apparent that each woman brought to the table a special set of skills:

Claire is a wizard at content creation, quality control, and networking. With a degree in Sociology, a teaching certificate, extensive experience in college admissions and her current role as Director of Business Development at Bright Futures… suffice to say that Claire knows what people like to see, hear, and read. Have you checked out the Bright Futures website? Received one of its catchy newsletters? Seen the pleasing-to-the-eye flyers, presentations, and/or client worksheets? That’s Claire. And then there’s the relationships Bright Futures has with community organizations, businesses, and schools. That’s Claire, too. She ensures that we consistently offer content and quality that enhances not only our business, but also learning and programming for our clients.

Then there’s Elana. She is an infrastructure ninja. You know the tedious, sometimes nerve-wracking components of business like budgets, contracts, and workflow? Elana actually finds enjoyment in these things, and more than that – she’s really good at it. Her degrees are in Human Resource Management (B.S.) and Higher Education and Administration (M. Ed.), but if you ask her, it’s been the hands-on experience where she’s learned the most. She’s done everything from helping a struggling church run more efficiently, to creating customized contracts for local entrepreneurs, and currently helps run Bright Futures as Director of Operations. Additionally she is on the leadership team for Houston’s Birkman (a behavioral and occupational assessment) User Group. As a result, she is an advocate for self-awareness and work-life balance, especially for small business owners!

Last, but never least, is Jigisha. Not only did she run a textiles business in India, but she is a longtime Destination Imagination coach with teams who consistently rank on a national level. When she’s not using her amazing creative problem-solving and coaching skills to win national titles, she is a certified Birkman coach, and senior contract consultant at Bright Futures. In this role she has consistently focused her talents towards enhancing the client experience, improving the relationship between Bright Futures and its contract consultants, and introducing innovative solutions in all areas. To top it off, she has networking skills (and general positive energy) like no one has seen before!

Needless to say, we saw an opportunity once we took stock of our combined areas of talent and expertise. However, we mostly saw a need in our industry of educational consulting. There were (and are) many IECs (Indepedent Educational Consultants) who do not have a team of people to help them with various parts of their business. Some want to grow, others seek work-life balance, and many are wanting to improve or streamline their current business practices.

So we thought… why not offer them an established team?

So that’s what we decided to do.
